At GIESSER, we have embraced sustainability at all levels as a fundamental entrepreneurial virtue in the spirit of future-oriented business practices. In our manufacturing, we focus on recycling, such as reusing waste heat and water.

The steel waste generated in production is fully recycled. It is reintroduced into the melting process to be used elsewhere.

The colorful plastic residues generated during the manufacturing process are also recycled. They are incorporated into the black plastic.

They are mixed back into the black plastic during processing, making them no longer visible once the handle is finished. Proudly, Hermann Giesser emphasizes: 'It’s hardly possible to produce more sustainably than we do.'

In the future, he wants to go even further. Various ideas are already being considered on how to keep all types of resources in the cycle even more efficiently and, for example, optimize knife disposal.

We also place great importance on loyalty and fairness in employee management. Whenever possible, we offer permanent employment to our apprentices and ensure long-term, strong working relationships within the Giesser family.
